Why Robots Aren’t Delivering Your Groceries During the Pandemic

The promise of unmanned vehicles delivering goods directly to your house has been considered by drone and AV manufacturers for years now, and during the COVID-19 stay at home orders, this contactless delivery system would be ideal. But despite there not being widespread use of unmanned vehicles providing deliveries, states such as Colorado, Florida, and Michigan are using these methods to deliver essential goods to people in need, while also gaining data on what AVs may look like on the road after the quarantine begins to lift.
